FRILO publishes Release 2020-1

New PLUS programs and extensions

Stuttgart, November 14, 2019 – As of now, the new Release 2020-1 is available for download in FRILO.Software via the update button. The current software version of the provider of innovative solutions for structural analysis and structural design offers three new PLUS programs to its users. Furthermore, the solutions Framework RSX, Building Model GEO and Punching Shear Analysis B6+ were supplemented by useful extensions.

Three new PLUS programs and additional extensions
FRILO PLUS programs now offer the option of saving output profiles. FRILO users can retrieve them later and use them at other workstations.
The memory function has also been implemented in the new FRILO solutions Fin Plate SFB+, Continuous Beam Timber HTM+ and Glued Laminated Girder D10+. In the program Fin Plate SFB+, all required verifications for fin plate connections can be carried out. Continuous Beam Timber HTM+ is the newest solution for calculating single- and multifield timber girders. The program is the successor of Timber Girder HO7. Glued Laminated Girder D10+ measures and optimizes different binder types. As a new carrier type, fish shape girder was installed.
When inserting the bending reinforcement in the PLUS program Punching Shear Analysis B6+, up to four reinforcement layers are now possible. The input can be made either via diameter and bar spacing or via diameter and number of irons.

NEW: Quantity survey at Building Model GEO
With the new Release 2020-1, the additional option quantity survey is available. The output is controlled via a seperate dialog with numerous settings. „It is not necessary to carry out the load calculation in advance to generate the quantity survey“, says Peter Fritz, Head of Service and Product Managament at FRILO. In the stiffening calculation, the stiffness around the weak axis can be switched off for single walls. In additon, the design interface for the new Reinforced Concrete Column B5+ has been implemented. To determine the earthquake loads, the municipalities of Saxony-Anhalt are now available in the municipality selection.

Innovations around timber and RSX
The new Austrian timber construction Eurocode ÖNORM B 1995-1-1:2019-06 has been implemented in all timber and roof programs. Furthermore, in the solution Framework RSX the material timber is now available.
