FRILO at Bautechnik-Tag

Last week on 18 March, FRILO was represented with a virtual stand at the Bautechnik-Tag (Eng.: Construction Technology Day). Around 1,500 visitors attended this exciting new digital format from the DBV (Deutscher Beton- und Bautechnik-Verein E.V. / Eng.: German Concrete and Construction Technology Association), which was set up for different representatives of the construction industry.

Under the motto "Construction factory of the future", the visitors were offered a diverse network meeting. The fair started with the foyer of the virtual exhibition hall. The visitor had now the opportunity to choose between the virtual exhibitor stands, the digital lecture rooms or the networking area. The networking area gave the opportunity to get in touch with other visitors and was therefore designed with virtual coffee tables and a special meet & greet space for the official speakers.

The programme of the Bautechnik-Tag was dominated by the topic digitalisation. Nevertheless, there was a diverse selection of different focus topics. In addition to impressive and practical large-scale construction projects, speakers from the theoretical field also provided insights into the construction industry of tomorrow. The trend topic BIM (Building Information Modeling) was also widely discussed in various contributions and demonstrated with practical examples. Practical projects included, for example, the Berlin Brandenburg Airport BER, the Brunsbüttel lock chamber and one of the best-known infrastructure projects in the south: Stuttgart 21.

At the individual exhibitor stands, visitors could not only download company information in form of product brochures and watch product-specific videos, but there was also the opportunity to make direct live contact with the respective company in a 1:1 chat.

Due to the interactive character of the fair and the diverse keynote speeches, the audience was offered a high-quality entertainment with experts from theory and practice.

The event was very well structured and the organisation worked without any complications. The DBV put on a consistently professional and high-quality format.
