For combinations with wind in german NA, you can optionally activate the use of kmod as the average of short and instantaneous.
New Code
DIN EN 1995-1-1/NA:2013-08
01/14
Translations have been improved.
01/13B
Corrections in output
The output has been improved for fasteners, that are invalid due to given conditions.
01/13A
SPAX Z-9.1-519:2012-01 implemented.
01/13
internal modification
02/12C
DIN EN 1995
The permissible shear stress can be increased due to NCI for 6.5.2, equation (NA.60).
02/12B
Correction
The material selection box has been corrected.
02/12A
Licence checking for EN 1995-1-1 has been corrected
02/12
Proof of Shearing of reduced cross section
The Proof of Shearing of reduced cross section has been added.
01/12
Notchings with Haunts
For notchings with haunts now the combined stress proof of side-grated edges is considered, too.
The proof is added for DIN 1052:2004, 2008 and EN 1995-1-1 with all National Annexes.
02/11
EN 1995
Depending on the licence nochtings and holes can be proofed acc ÖNorm B 1995-1-1 and acc DIN EN 1995-1-1/NA:2010-12.
Unfortunately in some codes are missing some rules in details. In those cases the missing rules are adapted by the rules acc DIN 1052:2008. Please refer to the documentation of the program!
Counter-sunk screws/threaded bolts
For screws it is possible to consider that screws are - e.g. due to fire protection - counter-sunk for the length cf.
It can be considered for reinforcement of nochtings as well as for holes.
Even glued threaded bolts and SPAX-screws can be counter-sunk.
Counter-sunk fasteners can be considered acc DIN 1052:2004, 2008 and EN 1995.
Correction
The conclusion by analogy for the edge distance to the edge of the hole (a3,x=2,5*d) s only valid for predrilled screws.
For not predrilled screws the common distances of axial stressed scews are valid!
01/11A
SPAX-screws
The new version of the Technical Approval for SPAX Z-9.1-519:2011-03 is now implemented.
Furthermore the minimum edge distance to the edge of the hole has been changed in Picture 40 of DIN 1052:2008 against DIN 1052:2004. The values have been adapted acc DIN 1052:2008.
Correction
The minimum screw-in length at reinforcing of holes has been calculated too large.
As a result of this sometimes the minimum srewn-in lenght was greater than the height of the beam.
The calculation of the minimum screw-in length has been corrected; due to this now it is again possible to proof short(er) screws.
For screws that have been great enough for the too-large-calculated screw-in length the results are the same-
but for shorter screws the bearable capacity force of the screw is getting less than in the old version! But nevertheless in this cases the minimum screw length has been broken!
01/11
The service function for the distance e in DIN 1052/A1:1996 has been corrected for beams with notching on the top side.
02/10
Design situations
For DIN 1052:2004, 2008 and EN 1995 with the available National Annexes it is optionally possible to consider the persistent/transient design situation or the accidental design situation.
ÖNorm B 1995-1-1:2010
Depending on the licence the proof acc ÖNorm B 1995-1-1:2010 is available.
Attention! Please refer to the documentation of the program due to adaptions of missing parts of the euro code.
01/10
internal modification
03/09C
correction of effective length of Spax-screws
03/09B
remarks added in output.
03/09A
correction for notching with haunch
Beams with notching on the bottom side and a haunch have been calculated with the wrong reciprocal value of Epsilon.
For s bigger than a the error was uncritical, but for s smaller than a too big admissible shear strength have been considered.
03/09
Internal adaption.
02/09A
Input
Now you can change the code while output is active.
DIN 1052:2008
DIN 1052:2008 is available, if licensed.
02/09
Input
Instead of the effective bearing length the program requests for the length of the bearing plate and the effective value is calculated by the program.
01/09A
Output
Invalid conditions for proof of notching is noticed in the output.
01/09
Correction
If a screw is longer than the beams height, the program calculated with a too large effective length. Now the length of screws is checked and maybe reduced to beam height.
ASCII-Interface
A new ASCII-Interface is available now.
