With “FRILO BIM-Connector\u00ae”, structural engineers can participate in the OPEN BIM process and import 3D building models generated in CAD software as IFC or SAF files into the FRILO environment. Once imported, the model can be edited in the BIM connector. Volumetric elements are converted into bar and surface elements, and the model is reduced to its load-bearing components. Afterwards, the idealized model for the structural analysis can be transferred to the “Load Transfer” module, where the load transfer is determined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
