Document Designer

FDD

The FRILO Document Designer optimises the management, integration and editing of output documents by integrating all project items from different FRILO programs into a single overall document on a PDF basis – compact, convenient and well-structured. The time required to compile the structural analysis document is reduced to a minimum because the program handles the laborious combination of the numerous output documents for the user. To ensure that you can access your output documents digitally while you are out of the office, you can synchronise the entire structural analysis with your mobile devices using the free FRILO app StaticsToGo.

Everything at a glance

Central collection point

No matter whether items from FRILO or other programs are concerned: all data, documents and information relevant for the structural analysis can be collected at a central, digital collection point.

Automated tasks

Calculations that the user has performed can be integrated directly into the output document by pressing a button. The inserted items are structured in chapters. The corresponding table of contents is generated automatically.

Uniform look

An automatically generated table of contents, as well as the consistent numbering of the chapters, subchapters and pages, ensure a uniform and coherent layout of the structural analysis document.

Suitable for on the go

Thanks to the FRILO app StaticsToGo, users can conveniently take their structural analysis documents with them on their mobile devices. The app synchronises all project and document structures from the FDD with your smartphone or tablet.

Generate and edit the table of contents

The FRILO Document Designer lists the included items in a table of contents, which is generated automatically. The well-structured table of contents grows with each newly added item. You can reorganise it as desired via drag and drop. Moreover, you can create individual chapters to further refine the structure. The entries in the table of contents are clickable and take you directly to the corresponding page.

Adopt changes automatically

You can also change items subsequently that have already been integrated. All changes are automatically and reliably applied to the output document. To be able to track changes to the document after preparing the structural analysis, you can fix the original document. All changes made after the original document has been fixed are saved in a new document with its own revision level.

Integrate external documents

To enrich the output document with additional information, also other than FRILO items can be mapped in the Document Designer. The user can easily integrate externally generated Excel tables, Word files, PDFs, images and many other files via drag and drop into his/her output document. Newly added documents are automatically included in the table of contents. Even changes in the original file that the user applies after integration into the Document Designer are adopted.

The Remarks editor

With the remarks editor, additional information can be added to each item in the form of comments, images, graphics, drawings and tables. You can edit comments subsequently, supplement them and move them by drag and drop. Even if you apply changes to a previously entered item, your comment remains in place.

Design your own layout

With the page layout editor, you can edit the general document structure, page margins, the page header, the page footer, fonts, colours and tables and customise them to your requirements. Layouts that you have created can be saved and used as templates.

Put an end to the paper mess

The convenient management of documents and data is supplemented by the FRILO app StaticsToGo. Users can conveniently take their structural analysis documents with them on their mobile devices thanks to the app. This puts an end to the paper mess at the construction site or in meetings. The app synchronises all project and document structures from the FDD with the respective smartphone or tablet so that the user can access the complete structural analysis document offline as a PDF. The display of the document on the smartphone or tablet corresponds to the familiar desktop view. Furthermore, users can add notes to the respective items in the app as desired.
