Soil Nailing
The “Soil Nailing” program is used to analyze and design embankments secured with nails in accordance with the block sliding approach. The internal and external stability verifications as well as the design of the nails and the shotcrete wall are performed.
Only available in FRILO Geotechnic Ultimate
Performance characteristics
Structural system
- The graduation of the wall is possible
- Any number of excavations stages
- For the accurate internal modelling of the foundation dimensions, it is possible to import DXF graphics as a background
Ground surface
- Any slope shape and stratification can be defined
Groundwater
- Any course of the groundwater can be defined
Loads
- Several load cases with:
- vertical and horizontal concentrated loads and line loads can be defined
- earthquake loads can be considered
Geotechnical verifications
- Analysis according to the general block sliding approach
- Verifications of the internal and external stability: sliding mass investigation, overturning, sliding, ground failure and base failure
- Verification of the nails: determination of the nail forces, steel tension, transfer of the nail forces into the soil, calculation of the nail lengths and diameters
Reinforced concrete design
- Design of the shotcrete wall:
- as a slab or a continuous girder
- determination of the reinforcement
- punching shear analysis at the nail head plate
Results
- Detailed output of the individual load cases as text and graphics
File formats
- Printer
Export options
- RTF export to MS Word
- Graphic export in JPG format
- DXF export
