Bolted Steel Connection
ST9
The ST9 program is used to design bolted connections in steel construction. Tensile splices with fish plates, beam connections (shear force connection with angle bracket), flexurally rigid joints with fish plates as well as butt plate joints can be designed.

Structural system
Connections:
- Tensile splice with fish plate(s) as single-shear, double-shear or multi-shear connection
- Beam connection with angle brackets, with and without beam notch
- Flexurally rigid joint with fish plates on the web or flange
- Butt plate joint
Cross-sections:
- Beam sections or beam tie (all types of connections)
- I-sections as standard shapes
- Rolled or welded double T-sections as user-defined shapes
- Beam section or beam tie (additionally with tensile splice)
- U-sections as standard shapes or user-defined shapes
- Flat steel and wide flat steel as standard cross-sections
- Rectangular solid section as user-defined cross-section
- But straps
- Flat steel and wide flat steel as standard cross-sections
- Rectangular solid section as user-defined cross-section
- Angle brackets
- Angles with equal or unequal legs as standard shapes or user-defined cross-sections
Loads
Design internal forces for the calculation of the connection
- Nd (tensile splice)
- Vzd (beam joint)
- Myd, Nd and Vzd (flexurally rigid joint and butt plate joint)
Design
The program performs all verifications necessary for the selected type of connection in accordance with the selected design standard.
